How to Fake TikTok Comments (that look real)

Nail the spacing, typography, and small UI details so your mockups feel authentic.

TikTok comment screenshots are easy to spot when the text sizing, timestamps, or spacing feels off. Keep your mockups believable by matching the platform's rhythm.

  • Use a compact username size (around 13px) with a subtle weight difference.
  • Keep the comment line height tight (around 1.3) so the block feels dense.
  • Timestamp and meta text should be lighter and smaller than the main copy.
  • Only add the verified badge when needed; it draws attention fast.
  • Match the dark background color to TikTok's deep charcoal, not pure black.

When you export, prefer PNG if you want transparency or plan to overlay the comment on a video. For smaller files, JPEG is okay when you're fine with a solid background.
